The Actuarial Science Study Program is one of the study programs in the Mathematics Department, FMIPA UGM. The position of the Actuarial Science Study Program in the National Education Level is Bachelor’s level or Level 6 of the KKNI (Indonesian National Qualifications Framework) after a person completes high school education.
Graduates of the UGM Actuarial Science Study Program have advantages in mastering actuarial theory, the principles of the actuarial work cycle and have abilities equivalent to Adjunct Actuaries or ASAI (Associate of the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia) in accordance with PAI (Indonesian Actuary Association) standards. With in-depth mastery of Actuarial science theory as well as professional skills as actuaries, graduates of this study program are expected to be able to work in the Actuarial professional field and play a role in the development of Actuarial Science.
The curriculum for this study program is designed in accordance with the characteristics and qualifications of the profile of Actuarial graduates and meets the National Higher Education Standards (SN-dikti) and the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). The implementation of the curriculum is supported by human resources in the field of Actuarial science studies, adequate lecture facilities and computing laboratories; as well as collaboration with companies and institutions that use Actuarial graduates such as insurance companies, OJK and PAI.
