Programme Learning Outcomes

Based on analysis of graduate qualifications; reference for the Minimum Curriculum for the Indonesian Undergraduate Programme in Actuarial Science from the Indonesian Mathematical Society, KKNI and SN-Dikti; discussions with the Indonesian Actuaries Association (PAI), Financial Services Authority, Financial Professional Development Center (P2PK) Ministry of Finance, the competency/program learning outcomes (PLO) were formulated as follows:

  • Attitude:
    • CPL-1. demonstrate devotion to God Almighty and internalize values, norms, academic ethics and professional ethics;
    • CPL-2. demonstrate devotion to the interests of the nation and humanity imbued with the nation’s cultural values based on Pancasila;
  • Knowledge Mastery:
    • CPL-3. master the concept of academic integrity in general;
    • CPL-4. master theoretical concepts in the field of actuarial knowledge and its supporting fields of study in depth;
    • CPL-5. master the principles of the actuarial work cycle in depth to achieve organizational work results;
  • Specific skill:
    • CPL-6. have capabilities equivalent to an assistant actuary (ASAI) in identifying, modeling and managing risks quantitatively;
    • CPL-7. able to apply actuarial expertise and supporting fields of study, utilize science and technology to solve problems related to actuarial or quantitative risk management, able to adapt and develop oneself further;
  • General Skills:
    • CPL-8. able to apply logical, critical, systematic and innovative thinking;
    • CPL-9. able to adapt, collaborate, create, contribute and innovate in applying science to social life and act as a world citizen with a global perspective;
    • CPL-10. able to use information technology in the context of scientific development and implementation of actuarial expertise.

The CPL above follows the provisions of the National Higher Education Standards (SN-Dikti) which include aspects of attitude, mastery of knowledge, special skills and general skills. The mapping of the CPL items above with the SN-Dikti CPL can be seen at Tabel Pemetaan SN-DIKTI dengan CPL Prodi Ilmu Aktuaria UGM.
